Lagos Police Detain Individual Suspected of Murdering and Dismembering His Father 





The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended a 24-year-old individual, Sowe Temidayo Igbekele, on charges of murdering and dismembering his father, Babatunde Sowe Kayode, who was 60 years old, at their home in the Oshodi area of the state. Police sources informed Zagazola Makama that the suspect was taken into custody on Sunday after a report was filed at the Alakara Division by a female relative, Temidayo Akinola, residing at No. 56 Igbehinadun Street, Oshodi. The incident reportedly took place on April 17 at approximately 9:00 a.m. at the same location, with the motive for this horrific act still under investigation. A team of homicide detectives examined and documented the crime scene, while the dismembered body of the victim was removed and sent to a public morgue for an autopsy. The suspect, who had fled the scene following the incident, was located and arrested at his hideout in Oshodi on April 20.
