VETERAN NKECHI NWEJE BIOGRAPHY AND DEATH

 


Veteran Nkechi Nweje was a very talented Nigeria Nollywood actress known best for her activeness in playing loving motherly roles with passion. A devoted christian, born on 6th june 1964, from a Rich and cultural family in onicha Ado; married to Dr. Azubuike Nweje and a mother of 6 children. 

With over 100 movies to her name, her active motherly performance brought life to every character she played. The movie that made her more popular was titled "Ezigbo Nwanyi Onitsha". Her legacy in the Nigerian film industry remains unforgettable causing the Nigerian film industry, Nollywood, to be thrown into mourning for her sustain death.

The news of her death has sent shockwaves through the Nollywood industry, with her colleagues and fans alike struggling to digest the news of the great loss, many taking to social media handles to express their disbelief and grief.

The death of veteran Nkechi Nweje a 60 years actress, who died after a brief illness was confirm on Saturday by movie producer Stanley Ajemba on his social media handle post, popularly known as Stanley Ontop, on his Instagram page. The fellow actor who has close ties with the late actress confirmed that she actually died on Friday. 

The movie producer Stanley expressed shock and disbelief at actress Nkechi Nweje's sudden demise, saying he couldn't post immediately about her passing because it felt like a "dream" to him.  They last spoke during the Queenth saga; The filmmaker (producer) also paid a heartfelt tribute to actress Nkechi Nweje, describing her as  "vibrant actresses and a friend and mentor @nkechi.nweje."

   The  producer wrote, "Nollywood in tears as      we lost one of our vibrant actresses,            @nkechi.nweje, illness. I haven't been able       to post since this morning because it felt like     a dream. Ezigbo Nwanyi onitsha, rest in           peace, ma'am. My best friend, she always           called me, advising me. we last spoke             during the Queenth saga; she said 'Ontop         stop.' I'm still speechless."

       Also shared a candle image on                        Instagram, captioning it, "This world is not        our home."

 

        Actor Buchi Dortmund wrote,

         "Today, my heart is heavy with sorrow as           i say goodbye to my dear sister. Words            cannot capture the depth of this pain, nor          can they fully express my love for her.              Rest in peace, Ezigbo Mrs Nkechi                      Nweje."


         Asa Ikuku wrote  

      "Rest in peace, mummy Nkechi Nweje TV        (Nwanyi Onitsha). you are indeed a                  blessing to us. But God knows best. we            will miss you so much, great Nollywood            actress. Rest on, legend."

Gospel Singer Timileyin Ajayi Pleaded Not Guilty, Claims Memory Loss in Court Gospel singer Timileyin Ajayi, the suspected murderer of Salome Adaidu (Ele) has pleaded not guilty to the killing of the National Youth Service Corps member who died a few months ago at his residence. 10 killed, 30 suffer burns as another truck explodes in Abuja karu Bridge Some vehicles were razed on Wednesday when an explosion happened on Karu Bridge, along the Abuja-Nyanya-Keffi Road in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).    The incident happened when a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) truck lost control, crashed into Karu Bridge, and ramped into some vehicles, leading to an explosion.
