A man kills his mother and brother shortly after being released from a three-year prison sentence.



 


A devastating tragedy has unfolded, as a 25-year-old man faces charges for the murders of his mother and 15-year-old brother, mere days after his release from prison.


Da’ron Donta Jenkins has been charged with two counts of murder in connection with the deaths of his mother and younger sibling, Daryn. This tragic incident occurred shortly after Da’ron was released from prison on March 25th, where he had been incarcerated for crimes including breaking and entering and larceny.


Prior to the incident, Da’ron expressed his joy about returning home on Facebook, stating: “My baby!! My baby is home!! Lord I thx u.”


However, just a few days later, at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Monday, police received a call from Snowden Drive and arrived to discover two deceased individuals within the residence.


Da’ron has been apprehended and is currently in custody in Wilson County.


In a statement to ABC 11, Da’ron’s cousin, Juanilla Kornegay, remarked, “I would have never thought that. I never imagined he would commit such an act. 


“I can still picture her smile. She always had a smile on her face. She went to work and returned home, caring for her youngest son.”
