Father Arrested by Police for Suspected Murder of 27-Year-Old Daughter in Lagos



 


The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended an individual named Kamoru Ojo, who is alleged to have murdered his 27-year-old daughter and clandestinely interred her in a shallow grave at their residence in the Afromedia neighborhood of Ojo, Lagos.


As per information from police sources, the tragic event occurred on March 26; however, it was not brought to the attention of the Okokomaiko Police Division until April 3, 2025, at approximately 8:00 a.m., following a distress call received by the authorities, as reported by security analyst Zagazola Makama.

The victim, Shakirat Ojo, was allegedly killed by her father at their home situated at No. 31 Oshinlemo Street, Afromedia, where he subsequently buried her in the yard.


Upon receiving the report, a team of homicide detectives and crime scene investigators was sent to the site.

The scene was meticulously recorded, the body was exhumed, and it was subsequently transported to a public morgue for an autopsy.


The suspect is currently in custody while investigations proceed to clarify the details of this tragic event.
