Peter Obi Introduces Identity Cards and an Online Registration Portal for Supporters
Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has introduced an online registration platform along with identity cards for members of his Obidient Movement, both in Nigeria and abroad, as reported by News360 Nigeria. This information was shared in a joint announcement made in Abuja by Dr. Yunusa Tanko, the National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, and Nana Kazaure, the Director of Strategic Communications and Media. The statement indicated that the identity card features a QR code located in the bottom right corner for verification purposes and will display the flag of the country where the cardholder resides. It further stated: 'The Obidient registration portal is designed to assist Nigerians and fellow Obidients living outside the country. You will notice that the ID card includes a flag. For instance, if you are not living in Nigeria, the top right corner will showcase the flag of your country of residence. This allows us to collectively experience the essence of our diversity, camaraderie, and unity, as well as the extensive reach of the Obidient Movement's message. The OBX prefix is consistent across all ID cards, whether for Diasporans or Nigerians. The QR code in the bottom right corner serves to authenticate your card, which can be scanned using any QR scanner, such as a smartphone, providing Obidients with a secure and reliable means of connecting with one another. Therefore, if you decide to engage with or conduct business with an Obidient, you can scan the QR code or verify the OBX ID online to ensure that the individual is genuinely who they claim to be.'
